The job of School Psychologist was established for the purpose/s of measuring and interpreting the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social and emotional development of children; applying state and federal regulations; and developing strategies and interventions to address the educational and behavioral needs of students.

 

Essential Functions:

Administers standardized and/or supplemental assessments; assesses students' functional capabilities in the classroom and/or home environment; collaborates with teachers, parents, other personnel, outside professionals/organizations; compiles information from variety of sources; coordinates with community agencies; counsels students, parent/guardians and/or staff; develops student specific and/or group ideas/plans to implement treatment programs; facilitates meetings, trainings, workshops, inservices to provide training and skill development; implements school-wide program development and program evaluation to assist students who experience physical, mental, social or emotional difficulties; intervenes in occurrences of inappropriate behavior of students; prepares variety of written materials.

 

Salary:  Min $69,637; Mid $78,037
