Responsibilities include

• being well-informed of all required health and safety regulations and maintain MSDS notebooks for all chemicals and hazardous substances in assigned area
• monitor all health, safety, and security conditions in the building and adjoining grounds and provide for the repair, corrections, and/or resolution of any concerns or hazards
• Maintain repair records for maintenance supplies and equipment
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations, which may have an adverse effect on the health or safety of students, staff and/or visitors to the building
• Must be flexible to change
• Attend training meetings and seminars, as approved, to upgrade as well as maintain job skills and knowledge of regulations and procedures related to custodial and maintenance operations
• Report accidents promptly to the administrative supervisor and take corrective action to prevent future incidents
• Keep assigned areas free of trash and obstacles, which block or restrict access to facilities or exits
• Submit purchase requests for materials, equipment, and supplies according to established district procedures
• Support the value of an education
• Support the philosophy and mission of USD 457
• React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned
