Responsibilities include
- being well-informed of all required health and safety regulations and maintain MSDS notebooks for all chemicals and hazardous substances in assigned area
- monitor all health, safety, and security conditions in the building and adjoining grounds and provide for the repair, corrections, and/or resolution of any concerns or hazards
- Maintain repair records for maintenance supplies and equipment
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations, which may have an adverse effect on the health or safety of students, staff and/or visitors to the building
- Must be flexible to change
- Attend training meetings and seminars, as approved, to upgrade as well as maintain job skills and knowledge of regulations and procedures related to custodial and maintenance operations
- Report accidents promptly to the administrative supervisor and take corrective action to prevent future incidents
- Keep assigned areas free of trash and obstacles, which block or restrict access to facilities or exits
- Submit purchase requests for materials, equipment, and supplies according to established district procedures
- Support the value of an education
- Support the philosophy and mission of USD 457
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned
